Once you have a home under contract, one of the last steps to undergo before getting to the closing table is the final walk-through. Essentially, this is your final opportunity to walk through the property and make sure there’s nothing wrong with it before the keys are handed over. 


It’s always a good idea to do this walk-through a day or two before closing. Don’t wait until the last minute. It’s possible that the seller still has furniture they need to move out or there are repairs that still need to be done, and you want to catch that stuff ahead of time so it doesn’t delay your closing. 


If you do your final walk-through a day or two before closing and come across any issues, you have time to bring them to the attention of the seller so they get fixed.
