Building of the city began in the 1890s when the Chamberlain Investment Company of Denver purchased land from early settlers of the area. The proximity of Alamo Heights to San Antonio is another attractive aspect for those who choose homes here. A short commute will allow residents to live in this small community and work in the San Antonio area.
